Overview
Welcome to the DBT Skills Course
Welcome to the Self-Paced DBT Course
Whether you're brand new to Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) or have encountered it before, this course is designed to be approachable, practical, and flexible. You can move through the material at your own pace and revisit lessons as needed.
Throughout the course, you’ll be introduced to the four core DBT skill areas:
- Mindfulness
- Interpersonal Effectiveness
- Emotion Regulation
- Distress Tolerance
These evidence-based skills are designed to be applied in everyday life. DBT is not about getting things perfect the first time—it’s about learning, practicing, and being kind to yourself as you go. Developing these skills takes time, and that’s completely okay.
Below, you’ll find important information about how the course is structured, what materials you might need, and how to make the most of your experience. Please take a few moments to read through this before you begin.
About This Course
This course is designed to be completed over a minimum of four weeks, allowing you time to absorb, apply, and practice the skills gradually. We recommend not rushing, as the value of DBT comes through steady learning and integration into daily life.
- Module One is now accessible.
- Module Two will unlock in one week,
- Module Three in two weeks,
- Module Four in three weeks.
Each module contains several lessons. Every lesson includes:
- Written explanations of key concepts
- A video walking you through the material (so you can choose to read or listen/watch)
- Self-reflective questions or practice exercises
While participation in the activities and questions is not mandatory, engaging with these exercises will greatly support your learning and help you retain and use the skills in your life.
To ensure your privacy, we do not collect any of your answers or personal information. Instead, we recommend keeping a private notebook or digital document to record your reflections, responses, and insights.
